Howdy :)

Helloooo everyone :)

Just a quick update...

Things are getting quite busy at the mo - I've got a few things in a row later on this month...starting on Friday actually!

I'm at the Woodvale again on Friday, May 21st, singing out a mixture of originals and covers. :) Then on May 22nd I've got an 'industry showcase' thingy. - I've entered the competition 'Wight Noize'...the prize is a chance to play on the main stage at the festival, which would be incredible!...Here's a little bit about it from our local Island news blog...

And then on Sunday I may be shooting a little video for the Ventnor Fringe Festival...

Which will be rather cool. :)

Then on Monday I'm driving...Tuesday...now what's on Tuesday.........

Oh yes.

ALBUM LAUNCH! Woo!

I'm going to call Quay Arts in a mo to check the ticket sales out. :) I'm also planning a few quirky things for the actual evening to make it a bit more...interactive. Lol.

And then I've got a little bit of a rest (performance wise) before the IW Festival. :)

Now I'd better go and call Quay Arts...

TTFN xxxxx

Great Days ,Holly. Was this ever supposed to be a year off ;)The Wight Noize competition sounds good and you more than satisfy the criteria.Cross Fingers! And you're very well represented on the Ventnor Fringe Festival site:your star is clearly in the ascendancy ---- and so it should be :)

Wow, you are going to be really busy - good luck with all of that!

That Ventnor Fringe Festival seems to be a great idea. What is it with Ventnor - for such a small place it seems to be a source of all sorts of artistic ideas and endeavours. Maybe it's due to the subtropical climate there!

Today is 'album launch' day! Have fun, Holly! In fact, have a 'WONDERFUL' time! Wish I could be there with you! :)

Hi lovely Larry! :)
Thankyou so much for your comment!
I'm very nervous at the mo. :-S Hopefully I'll be OK later and will relax into it!
Really wish you and all of our lovely friends on here could be here with us - we'll be thinking of you. :)
Sending (((HUGS))) across the water.
Lots of love,
Hollyxoxox
P.S - I'm hoping to play the dulcimer tonight, so I'll be thinking of you when I'm strumming away! Lol.

It was a wonderful evening, and Jenny and I enjoyed it immensely. Your singing was awesome.I especially enjoyed The Lady and The Past, but also everything else, including originals and cover songs that I knew you sang, like Carey (your Dulcimer playing was beautiful), but also that Rolling Stones cover (Paint it Black) which I didn't know you sang - it was great.

Wondering if Holly used her 'famous' Appalachian accent when she did her Dulcimer song... for sure, nobody could resist that! :) Congrats, Holly!

Larry ~ You will get to hear what accent H used for the Dulcimer song. And for everything else. I video'd the whole thing so as soon as I can upload and edit it you'll get to see it. Oh! And it was exceeeeedingly wonderful.

Wow! That is amazing, xeno! I am so excited! MegaUpload.com will let you upload up to 1 Gig. You could even zip it. If you convert it to .flv first, it will then be just a very small fraction of the original size and I can deal with flv files. Tomorrow (Thursday) I should have some time. Today, I was all wrapped up with the oil spill and did not do much of anything else. Just drop me an email in case I am tied up again tomorrow. The PC will be on monitoring spill video feeds, etc.

Hi Larry, I posted a few video clips of Holly's concert on my timbic61 youtube site. They are fairly low resolution (I used my camera) but may give you a preview of what some of the songs were like (great).

I don't know how large the upload will be. It's about 2.5 hours so the raw .avi file storage will be massive. Just started the third tape upload so I have got another 40 mins of heaven to look forward to. I will see how big the whole show is when that's finished. Will see about .flv. Am planning to put it on to DVD (with chapter markers for the songs) so will send you a copy of that when it's done. I guess Wolfie will be wanting a copy too.
Will probably also upload it as a sequence of videos to YT.

Good morning, world, lol! Thanks, Uncle Tim & xeno.
Yes, xeno, avi is HUGE. FLV might be a tenth of that size. Let me know if you need a converter. Can't wait!
Did Wolfie get there as well? Wow!

Wolfie didn't make it this time Larry, but later in the year he is coming to another one of H's gigs ;) It's all exciting stuff!!:)
