***Debut album available now!***

Hi everyone!

I've just got back from the Post Office where I sent off the pre-orders/donator's CDs. - Hopefully they should be with people soon - but I can't say exactly when because of the mahoosive volcanic ash cloud thing. :-S UK orders shouldn't be affected though.

So - Holly's first ever/debut album is finally available on the website under the Holly's Shop section. :D Phew! And the orders are coming in, so Holly is busy. :D All is groovy. :)

I'd better go and do some of my admin. I am now a business woman as well as a musician. Hah! I've always fancied the idea of power dressing...

:) TTFN xxxxx

Dear Chief Executive,I would like to congratulate you on your new venture;I am sure that it will be a tremendous success.I have been particularly impressed by your sales staff, who have been highly attentive at all times and seem to me to be genuinely interested in both the product and the customer.Their cheerful welcome is always much appreciated and helps brighten the dullest of days:they are to be especially thanked as they,of course, represent the human face of the organisation.I fully expect to do a good deal of business with your company in the years to come.

Yours Faithfully, A Very Satisfied Customer.

Dieser Link ist selbst "Power dressing". Dein Faible für Alan Rickman bekommt so eine ganz neue Basis.

Leider wird er nicht funktionieren,
"Ach, Wolfgang, was machst Du denn wieder?"

Silly me,I thanked the young lady in sales, but forgot to thank the young lady who sings and plays so beautifully.there is also the young lady who does the artwork and the videos, she's very good. And I musn't forget the young lady who deals with deliveries, she's extremely efficient.

Mention must also be made of the other young lady called Me (who I think might be Chinese)who is in charge of Human Resources -- she is outstanding ! The thing is,I like the young lady who sings but I also like the young Chinese lady called Me--- but which one's best? There's only one way to find out.....

Been out all day and just looked at the post after having poured a nice glass of beer in case there's some volcanic dust that needs to be washed out of my throat. Brown package. Now I wonder what that can be. Sort of CD sized. Return address - from the Isle of Wight. Hands start shaking! Leap to the paper knife and open the package. Ooooooooooooo! It IS a CD. And it says "A Woman You Don't Know". Ooooo! Tractor beam from the CD player is dragging me across the room. Can't type any more.......................

You fortunate rascal! Mine will take forever to cross the pond, lol!

Larry ~ It will be well worth the wait. Lovely clear sound. I know that like me you prefer the lower compression of a CD v .mp3. And the little bookie that comes with it is really good. And I really did LOL when I saw Violet and the robin. I'm sure you will too.
Oh! And rascal? That takes me back.....

It is so annoying about these air problems Larry ~ grrr! Air Mail is taking longer at normal times so goodness knows how long it will take :( Can you let us know when you receive it please. H is still sending out overseas mail just to make sure they are on the way :)

yes, me, I will let you know. One glorious thing about life now is that I have unlimited patience and realize that being in a hurry is for the youngsters, lol! All is well.

Trevor said...

Yes, Larry, but were you the Sherrif in Sweet Home Alabama ?

Larry said...

No, Trev, lol. I got that from the movie, 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'. A Cherokee Indian said it in the movie. I am part Cherokee, lol!

Trevor said...

Thanks,Larry, and I know you have great patience but the CD is just brilliant -- I hope yours get's there sooner rather than later.
By the way,I can read that you're part Cherokee but which part? Good or Bad? Wolfgang and I are still looking for the person who stood on his blue suede shoes !

Oh, good! I remember my great grandmother, and have a pic of her at age 98, sitting in her chair with her corncob pipe. She had a little herb garden out back and used to save me her Bull Durham tobacco bags, lol! Good people!

Trevor said...

What a wonderful heritage Larry;I can almost see the sepia picture of her now-- they are unbelievably evocative those pictures aren't they ? In the absence of written accounts for so much of Cherokee history, how far back can you trace your ancestry on the Cherokee side?

PBS said...

Lol - Sweet Home Alabama is my favourite film (and one of my favourite songs) too. And Larry is so beautifully chivalrous :-) I managed to get my CD promptly despite the closure of the UK airspace and have had "Impossible" blasting out in the car at a very unsociable volume. I'm hoping the other mothers on the school run will ask me who it is and where they can buy it.

And I got flagged down by the police today. I wasn't speeding (for a change). They just said they wanted to know why I was looking so happy and thought I might be on drugs. I played them a couple of tracks, their pupils dilated and they had a discussion about whether it was an offence to be driving under the influence of Holly Kirby.

xenonrush said...

Lary ~ Great movie "Outlaw Josey Wales". Was that a quote by the person played by Chief Dan George. Can't remember the character's name but I thought he was wonderful.

Trevor said...

I'm staying off the road for the next couple of days--there are just too many Holly fans out there;it's positively dangerous.

Larry said...

Hey gang, I have been car shopping all day, lol!
@Trev - My great granny was full blooded Cherokee. She married a Scots-Irish settler names Neil (Prolly was O'Neil originally).

@xeno - Yep. Chief Dan said that, lol.

@PBS - Why, thank you ma'am!
