Technical stuff...

Hi everyone...this is just a quick message to say that I don't think I'm going to be able to get the video done tonight...Final Cut is a little more technical than I first thought. :-S xx

What! You're not going to stay up all night and show it who's boss?

While I wait, can I just say that I just love that little giraffe in the piccies. He/she is adorable, lol. Does he/she have a name?

While I am at it, I will say that I have always loved that little blue critter as well. Both of them make me feel good, lol!

Hello :-)
'Fraid I'm still struggling with the software at the mo. :-( But this time I KNOW that it's me! Lol. I just need to read the instruction booklet...it might help I guess.
:-P
I think the giraffe was just me fiddling around on Photoshop. :-) I was experimenting with my drawing tablet thingy. You can think of a name if you like Larry. :-D The blue llama is called Dave. :-) At one point I was really into plasticine figures/stop motion animation so that's where he came from. Lol. I'd love to have another go at it sometime actually. I'll have to write a song that lends itself to that kind of video. I'll also have to upload some more piccies so that you don't have to look at the same ones all the time Larry! Lol. :-)
I'm off to do some house-sitting for a couple of days now, but I should be able to do a blog at some point. I'll be back on Wednesday. :-)
TTFN! xxxxx

Have you tried any online tutorials? There are usually good (free) online video tutorials for popular software these days.

Now you sound like me, Holly. I have a saying, "If all else fails, read the instructions." lol

Happy house-sitting!

Read the instruction book!!! No one does that.
House sitting for a couple of days sounds like an ideal chance to get to grips with new software. And watch TV.

And maybe bake cookies, lol!

Been snowing for an hour now and settling so maybe a picture of a snow man tomorrow. Perhaps, if you are very lucky a few flakes may blow over the water. I guess being that much closer to the equator on IoW means that you have T-Shirt weather all the year round. At least it's warmed up to -0.5c here according to the outdoor sensor.

Only 6 1/2 more months to the 4th of July!

Yep ~ start counting Larry ;)

No xeno ~ I wish though! We just get lots of boring freezing rain when everyone else is getting pretty snow :(

We've got snow at Center Parcs :-) Not too much so the pavements aren't slippy but enough so the trees are white and beautiful. x

Wow,Sis. I have no idea where you are but am comforted to know that it is a long way from here, lol! Enjoy!

Wow - great photos on facebook, PBS. I recognise where you are!

Here's wishing Holly and all followers and supporters of Tripping Through Violets an excessive calorie intake tomorrow and a truly excellent 2010.

Larry said...

Thanks, xeno, and the same to you, my friend!

Yes, Merry Christmas everyone!

Just curious, Holly: which guitar(s) did you use on the CD? Lady, and/or the Martin, or something different?

xenonrush said...

The guitar(s) on Impossible sounded quite electric to me and neither Lady or the Martin appear to have pickups fitted in the YT videos. But then I guess a screwdriver and pickup is all it takes........

It is still the 26th here so, I can say, hopefully, Holly had a great time at The Woodvale tonight where Nick Inette opened for her! :)

xenonrush said...

I put Nick Inette into Google and YT didn't get any hits. Is he a local newcomer?
Put Holly Kirby into Google and was interested to see that almost the whole of the first page of results related to H. Very impressive!

Larry said...

xeno, I made a typo on Nick's name. Try Googling him 'Nick Inett' (no 'e' on the end). :)

To Xeno :)
I read your bit about Google and had a look myself. I got to page 33 and then got fed up but H appeared on nearly every page in some form or other ~ wow!

I hope you all had a magical Christmas :) Have a very happy and healthy New Year everyone xxx

lol - googling "Holly Kirby" produces impressive results, doesn't it? It's mostly Holly to begin with, and even as far as page 47 it's still producing references such as "Holly Kirby, talentueuse chanteuse anglaise"!
